By expanding connectivity in rural schools, Telecom Namibia is reinforcing its commitment to bridging the digital divide and supporting quality education across the country.

In a major step to enhance digital learning, Telecom Namibia  has partnered with the Ministry of Education to connect 21 schools in the Kavango West Region to reliable high-speed internet. Each school will benefit from a minimum of 25 Mbps broadband for the next five years, ensuring students and teachers have the digital tools they need for modern education.

The initiative was announced by CEO Stanley Shanapinda during the ICT Stakeholders’ Engagement at Simanya River Lodge. Shanapinda also called on local and regional leaders to help protect ICT infrastructure, citing ongoing challenges with theft and vandalism that can disrupt service delivery.
