Airtel Tanzania and VETA Launch Mobile Platform for Technical Skills
The platform offers digital lessons covering technical theory, allowing learners to study anywhere at their own pace.
Airtel Tanzania, in collaboration with the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), has launched the VSOMO platform, enabling Tanzanians to study technical skills directly from their mobile phones. The platform offers digital lessons covering technical theory, allowing learners to study anywhere at their own pace.
After completing the digital lessons, participants can receive practical training at any VETA campus across the country, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Airtel and VETA describe this initiative as a major step in making technical education more accessible, flexible, and high-quality for all Tanzanians.
This collaboration provides an opportunity for citizens to develop valuable technical skills, empowering them to enhance their careers, create opportunities, and build a better life. Through the VSOMO platform, Airtel Tanzania and VETA aim to support lifelong learning and strengthen the nation’s technical workforce.
