The newly introduced platforms are designed to strengthen university services, student support systems, and innovation infrastructure across Algeria.

Kamal Badari, Algeria’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research , has overseen the commissioning of four new national digital platforms as part of ongoing efforts to modernize the country’s higher education and research ecosystem. The launch took place on February 24, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The newly introduced platforms are designed to strengthen university services, student support systems, and innovation infrastructure across Algeria. They reflect the Ministry’s broader strategy to accelerate digital transformation and improve efficiency, accessibility, and coordination within the higher education sector.

One of the platforms launched is the University Network for Business Incubators and Entrepreneurship Development Centers, which aims to connect university-based incubators and entrepreneurship hubs nationwide, fostering innovation, startup creation, and knowledge transfer between academia and industry.

Another key platform is the Digital Registry of University Spin-off Companies, created to formally document, monitor, and support university-affiliated enterprises. This initiative is expected to improve governance, visibility, and sustainability of academic entrepreneurship activities.

The Ministry also launched a Digital Platform for Psychological Counseling, providing students with access to mental health support services through a secure and structured online system. This platform is intended to enhance student wellbeing and ensure timely psychological assistance within universities.

Additionally, a Digital Meal Reservation Platform was commissioned to modernize campus service delivery, streamline meal planning, and improve operational efficiency across university dining facilities.

The rollout of these platforms underscores Algeria’s commitment to leveraging digital tools to improve higher education governance, student services, and innovation outcomes, positioning universities as key drivers of national development and entrepreneurship.
