The service enables users to pay using iPhone or Apple Watch without handing over a physical card, touching buttons, or exchanging cash. Every transaction is protected through Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, combined with a unique, one-time dynamic security code.

Emirates NBD Egypt,  a leading financial services provider in the MENAT region, has launched Apple Pay for its customers, offering a secure, contactless, and private way to make payments. The service enables users to pay using iPhone or Apple Watch without handing over a physical card, touching buttons, or exchanging cash. Every transaction is protected through Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, combined with a unique, one-time dynamic security code.

Apple Pay is widely accepted across grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, coffee shops, and retail outlets. Customers can also use it for online purchases via iPhone, iPad, or Mac, allowing faster checkout in apps or Safari without repeatedly entering shipping and billing details. Payments can also be made directly from the Apple Watch, enhancing convenience for food delivery, transportation, parking, and more.

Security and privacy are central to Apple Pay. Actual card numbers are not stored on devices or Apple servers. Instead, each card is assigned a unique Device Account Number, encrypted and stored securely in the device’s Secure Element. Users can easily set up Apple Pay through the Wallet app and link their Emirates NBD credit or debit cards across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac. All rewards and benefits associated with the cards remain intact.

To mark the launch, Emirates NBD is offering 50% cashback for all cardholders using Apple Pay. The introduction of this service aligns with Egypt’s efforts to expand digital payment solutions, supporting a secure and flexible digital economy. The initiative reflects Emirates NBD Egypt’s commitment to global digital banking standards and its support for Egypt’s Vision 2030 in developing an integrated, innovative, and secure financial ecosystem.
