The donation included 20 tons of cement and 80 tons of granite for infrastructure, 10 computers, and 5 mobile phones to enhance operational coordination.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the Ministry of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications (MTDPCE)  officially handed over a significant contribution to the Faso Mêbo Agency in Ouagadougou, marking a unique blend of material support and digital innovation. The donation included 20 tons of cement and 80 tons of granite for infrastructure, 10 computers, and 5 mobile phones to enhance operational coordination.

At the centre of the contribution is SEREYA, a digital platform whose name means “liability” in Dioula. Developed by ANPTIC, the platform provides real-time tracking of donations, automated report generation, stock visualization, and integration with the national payment system, Faso Arzeka. According to Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, Minister of Digital Transition, Postal and E-Communications, SEREYA transforms citizen contributions into structured, traceable, and measurable outcomes, strengthening transparency, accountability, and trust between the state and citizens.

The Minister highlighted that the platform meets rigorous national technical standards, including secure development, performance testing, and regulatory compliance, and would cost over 17 million FCFA if outsourced. By leveraging in-house expertise, the Ministry has provided this system as a public contribution, demonstrating the collective commitment of ministry staff and technical teams to national development.

Dr. Zerbo/Sabane emphasized that digital technology is more than a tool—it is a lever for national solidarity and effective citizen engagement. Through this initiative, Faso Mêbo now has the resources and a secure digital infrastructure to manage donations efficiently, document contributions, and reinforce civic participation. The Ministry reaffirmed its support for the agency in fully adopting and optimising the SEREYA platform, encouraging broader engagement around Burkina Faso’s national priorities.
