According to the National Road Fund Agency Public Relations Manager Alphonsius Hamachila, the new system is designed to provide road users with a flexible and seamless way of paying toll fees, alongside existing payment methods.

The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA)  has introduced mobile money payment options at all toll gates operated across the country, marking a major step toward improving convenience and efficiency for motorists.

According to the National Road Fund Agency Public Relations Manager Alphonsius Hamachila, the new system is designed to provide road users with a flexible and seamless way of paying toll fees, alongside existing payment methods. The initiative is part of broader efforts to modernize toll collection systems and enhance user experience on national roads.

The introduction of mobile money payments is expected to reduce delays at toll gates, improve traffic flow, and support the ongoing digital transformation of public service delivery. By integrating widely used mobile payment platforms, the agency aims to make toll payments more accessible and efficient for motorists across the country.

NRFA noted that the mobile money system will operate in parallel with existing payment methods, ensuring a smooth transition and allowing users to adopt the new option at their convenience. The agency emphasized that the innovation aligns with its commitment to improving road fund management and enhancing service delivery nationwide.
