Ghana Hosts Workshop to Advance National Cybersecurity Strategy
The workshop focused on advancing the implementation of Ghana’s National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (NCPS), with discussions centred on three key pillars: raising awareness of the policy, enhancing operational capabilities, and deepening international cooperation.
Ghana is stepping up efforts to strengthen its national cybersecurity framework following a high-level stakeholder workshop hosted by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) in collaboration with Italy’s Cyber 4.0 in Accra.
The workshop focused on advancing the implementation of Ghana’s National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (NCPS), with discussions centred on three key pillars: raising awareness of the policy, enhancing operational capabilities, and deepening international cooperation.
Participants provided inputs that will be consolidated into a final report outlining measurable and actionable steps to guide ongoing cybersecurity collaboration between Ghana and Italy.
The event brought together senior government officials and industry stakeholders, including Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George; Italy’s Ambassador to Ghana, Laura Ranalli; CSA Director General, Divine Selease Agbeti; and Director of Cyber 4.0, Matteo Lucchetti.
Also in attendance were members of Ghana’s Joint Cybersecurity Committee, representatives from the industry forum, and other key stakeholders, reflecting a multi-sectoral approach to strengthening the country’s cybersecurity resilience.
The initiative underscores Ghana’s growing focus on international partnerships to build capacity, improve cyber readiness, and secure its digital ecosystem against evolving threats.
