The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader development goals, with Minister Haimbe noting that investments in the telecom sector contribute to job creation, expanded digital access, and local economic growth.

Airtel Zambia  has officially opened its new Woodlands Retail Shop in Lusaka, marking one of five new Airtel outlets launched across the country as part of its ongoing expansion strategy.

The launch event was attended by Lusaka Central Member of Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mulambo Haimbe, alongside Airtel Zambia Managing Director Hussam Baday, who highlighted the company’s continued investment in improving service delivery, accessibility, and customer experience.

Airtel Zambia said the new shop forms part of its broader plan to bring telecommunication services closer to customers through enhanced retail presence and more personalized support.

According to the company, the expansion is aimed at improving service efficiency, offering faster customer support, and increasing convenience for users seeking in-person assistance.

The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader development goals, with Minister Haimbe noting that investments in the telecom sector contribute to job creation, expanded digital access, and local economic growth.

Airtel Zambia also announced plans to roll out 45 additional retail shops across the country by September 2026, which would increase its total retail footprint to 98 outlets nationwide.

Other newly opened branches include Airtel Carousel Mall, Airtel Chiparamba Road, Airtel Lumumba, and Airtel Ibex Hub, further strengthening the company’s presence across key urban areas.
