Zambia Launches Digital Property Management System to Improve Public Service Delivery
The new PMIS platform has been integrated with ZamPortal and ZamPay, enabling members of the public to conveniently access and pay for a range of government services online.
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development in Zambia has officially launched the Property Management Information System (PMIS) in partnership with the SMART Zambia Institute, marking another milestone in the country’s digital transformation agenda.
Speaking during the launch, Permanent Secretary Professor Albert Malama said the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment under the Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP) to modernise public infrastructure administration and improve service delivery through digital innovation.
The new PMIS platform has been integrated with ZamPortal and ZamPay, enabling members of the public to conveniently access and pay for a range of government services online. These include government property rentals, property valuation consultancy services, management department services, and urban housing and horticulture services, including the online purchase of plants.
The system is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in the management of government property-related services, while reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
Developed by local ICT company CoreLink Consulting Limited, PMIS represents another step in Zambia’s efforts to build a modern, inclusive, and digitally empowered public service ecosystem.
