The initiative reflects growing efforts to modernise healthcare systems in Africa by leveraging AI, digital infrastructure, and interoperable technologies to improve healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.

MEDIOT AI,  a subsidiary of ABA Life , has announced a collaboration with Siemens Healthineers to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Africa and emerging markets through artificial intelligence and digital health systems.

The collaboration combines Siemens Healthineers’ expertise in medical imaging, diagnostics, hospital systems, and biomedical technologies with MEDIOT AI’s sovereign artificial intelligence platforms and healthcare operating systems.

According to the companies, the partnership will focus on several strategic areas, including AI-assisted diagnosis and clinical decision support, smart hospital infrastructure and system interoperability, connected and remote care through telehealth and telemedicine, predictive biomedical maintenance, and secure sovereign health data environments powered by the Fusion Computing System.

At the centre of the collaboration is the MEDIFUS Health Operating System, developed to integrate medical devices, clinical data, and AI models into a unified and secure healthcare ecosystem. The platform is also designed to support the deployment of intelligent agents that assist healthcare professionals in clinical workflows and decision-making processes.
