Equinix Expands Cisco and Nvidia Partnership to Accelerate AI Production Deployments
Equinix said the enhanced partnership builds on years of joint work with Cisco and Nvidia, evolving into a broader ecosystem tailored to support increasingly complex AI workloads across hybrid and distributed environments.
Equinix has expanded its collaboration with Cisco and Nvidia to accelerate the shift of artificial intelligence deployments from early-stage pilots into full enterprise production. The initiative is designed to simplify the rollout of the Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia by providing standardized AI infrastructure blueprints through Equinix’s global data center footprint.
The company operates 280 data centers across 77 markets, serving more than 10,000 customers, including around 3,000 cloud clients. Equinix said the enhanced partnership builds on years of joint work with Cisco and Nvidia, evolving into a broader ecosystem tailored to support increasingly complex AI workloads across hybrid and distributed environments.
Gordon Mackintosh, Senior Vice President of Global Partner Sales and Ecosystems at Equinix, said the collaboration is focused on enabling enterprises to move beyond experimentation and into scalable AI production. He explained that Equinix is working closely with Cisco to integrate the Cisco Secure AI Factory architecture with Nvidia’s technology stack to strengthen enterprise AI deployment capabilities.
He also pointed to Presidio’s PATH (Programmable AI Tech Hubs) initiative, which allows organizations to test and validate AI outcomes before scaling them across production environments. According to Mackintosh, this model is helping bridge the gap between AI proof-of-concept projects and full enterprise adoption.
Chad Dunn, Vice President of Solution Engineering at Presidio, added that the expanded ecosystem provides customers with access to generative AI capabilities even when they lack sufficient on-premises infrastructure or data center resources to support large-scale deployments.
