Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, met with Interswitch Founder and Group Managing Director Mitchell Elegbe for a strategic discussion focused on strengthening the country’s digital payments ecosystem and advancing cross-border payment solutions across Africa.
The meeting explored innovative strategies to reduce the cost of cross-border transactions, improve the efficiency of remittance services, promote local currency settlements, and facilitate regional trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
