July 13, 2026
1 min read

The partnership integrates Flutterwave's pan-African payment infrastructure into SunFintech's platform, enabling the company to offer faster settlement, multi-currency payment capabilities and improved cross-border transaction services for businesses operating across African markets.

SunFintech  has partnered with African payments technology company Flutterwave  to strengthen cross-border payments, foreign exchange liquidity and treasury management across the continent as demand for digital commerce continues to grow.

The partnership integrates Flutterwave’s pan-African payment infrastructure into SunFintech’s platform, enabling the company to offer faster settlement, multi-currency payment capabilities and improved cross-border transaction services for businesses operating across African markets.

According to SunFintech, the rapid expansion of digital commerce in Africa has elevated cross-border payments and foreign exchange liquidity from back-office functions to critical drivers of economic growth. The company said efficient payment systems play a key role in enabling businesses to scale, reducing the cost of regional trade and ensuring remittances reach beneficiaries more quickly.

By leveraging Flutterwave’s established payment rails, SunFintech aims to eliminate settlement delays while building a more resilient treasury ecosystem to support its growing operations across multiple African markets.

The collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to improving Africa’s digital payments infrastructure by making cross-border transactions faster, more efficient and more accessible for businesses and consumers.
