The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Zambia Open Community Schools (ZOCS) and supported by the Airtel Africa Foundation.

Airtel Zambia Plc  has marked another milestone in its efforts to improve access to quality education by officially handing over the newly digitally connected Makole Community School in Solwezi under its School Adoption Programme.

The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Zambia Open Community Schools (ZOCS)  and supported by the Airtel Africa Foundation.  Through the programme, the school has been equipped with improved digital connectivity and learning infrastructure aimed at enhancing the educational experience for learners and teachers.

The handover forms part of Airtel Zambia’s broader commitment to advancing digital inclusion and strengthening education across the country. By investing in connected schools and improved learning environments, the telecommunications operator is helping bridge the digital divide and provide students in underserved communities with access to modern educational resources.

Airtel Zambia said it believes that quality education begins with quality learning environments and reaffirmed its commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and well-equipped spaces where learners can develop the skills they need to succeed. The company added that initiatives such as the School Adoption Programme are designed to empower communities by giving students greater opportunities to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.

The latest handover in Solwezi underscores Airtel Zambia’s ongoing investment in education and digital transformation, reinforcing the role of public-private partnerships in expanding access to technology-enabled learning across Zambia.
