Communications Authority of Kenya and KFCB Complete Joint Broadcast Monitoring Training
The training programme brought together officers from the Authority's Licensing and Compliance (L&C) Department, including personnel from its regional offices, alongside KFCB staff who use the Broadcast Logger system in carrying out broadcast monitoring activities.
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has concluded a joint Broadcast Logger User Training Programme aimed at strengthening broadcast monitoring capabilities among staff from the Authority and the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).
The training programme brought together officers from the Authority’s Licensing and Compliance (L&C) Department, including personnel from its regional offices, alongside KFCB staff who use the Broadcast Logger system in carrying out broadcast monitoring activities.
Facilitated by Copycat Ltd and Actus, the programme provided participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience to improve their proficiency in operating the Broadcast Logger system, enhancing their ability to monitor, analyse and manage broadcast content more effectively.
According to the Communications Authority, the training follows the successful nationwide deployment of Broadcast Logger systems and the establishment of a modern Broadcast Monitoring Room at the CA Centre. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to improve the recording, retrieval, analysis and monitoring of radio and television broadcasts across Kenya.
The Authority said the participation of officers from the Kenya Film Classification Board reflects the continued collaboration between the two institutions to promote effective media regulation and strengthen broadcast content monitoring in the country.
