Flutterwave  has partnered with financial infrastructure provider Caliza  to strengthen access to global payment and treasury services for African businesses.

The partnership enables Flutterwave to offer customers dedicated USD accounts connected to domestic and international payment rails, including ACH, Fedwire, RTP and SWIFT. Customers can receive, transfer and convert funds across fiat currencies and stablecoins through Flutterwave’s platform.

The solution is designed to address challenges African businesses face when accessing USD liquidity and international payment infrastructure. By using stablecoins such as USDC and USDT, the companies aim to reduce reliance on traditional correspondent banking channels and enable faster, more cost-effective cross-border transactions.

Beyond customer payments, the infrastructure also supports Flutterwave’s treasury operations, allowing the fintech to manage USD and stablecoin balances, fund operating accounts and move large-value positions across liquidity reserves and custody platforms.

Flutterwave said the infrastructure can support transactions ranging from retail remittances, payroll and supplier payments to treasury transfers exceeding $1 million, while allowing the company to maintain control of the customer experience.

“We wanted to give African businesses access to global payment infrastructure without passing that complexity on to them. Caliza allows us to combine a broad range of financial services, currencies, and payment rails within a single infrastructure layer while maintaining control over the customer experience.”

– Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, CEO, Flutterwave
