AI and Advanced Technology Drive 15% of New Business Enquiries in Saudi Arabia

The corporate structuring and business expansion services provider said its latest Saudi Arabia enquiry data shows growing interest in businesses operating across artificial intelligence, software, automation, digital transformation, aerospace, advanced engineering and education technology.

Saudi Arabia’s expanding technology ecosystem is increasingly influencing the types of businesses establishing operations in the Kingdom, with artificial intelligence and advanced technologies accounting for approximately 15% of enquiries and client engagements recorded by Sovereign PPG Corporate Services.

The corporate structuring and business expansion services provider said its latest Saudi Arabia enquiry data shows growing interest in businesses operating across artificial intelligence, software, automation, digital transformation, aerospace, advanced engineering and education technology.

The findings come as Saudi Arabia prepares to host LEAP 2026, with AI, digital transformation, technology adoption and investment expected to feature prominently in discussions around the Kingdom’s innovation economy.

According to Sovereign PPG, the data indicates that Saudi Arabia’s long-term investments in innovation, digital transformation and private sector growth are increasingly translating into company formation activity across high-value technology sectors.

“Saudi Arabia’s AI ambitions are part of a much broader economic transformation. What we are seeing through our client enquiries is that Vision 2030’s investment in innovation and diversification is translating into real business activity, with companies across multiple sectors choosing Saudi Arabia as a base from which to grow. Importantly, AI is no longer limited to standalone technology companies. Increasingly, businesses across traditional industries are incorporating AI capabilities into their operations and services, creating a new generation of AI-enabled companies.”

James Elliot-Square, Commercial Director – KSA, Sovereign PPG Corporate Services

Sovereign PPG’s data points to particularly strong interest in regulatory technology, digital tax compliance, e-invoicing and automated governance solutions, as businesses increasingly seek technology to improve operational efficiency and navigate regulatory requirements.

The company said technology-related enquiries, which were previously more concentrated around fintech and financial services, are now increasingly shifting toward solutions supporting compliance, governance and regulatory transformation.

Areas attracting increased interest include AI-powered compliance, risk and governance platforms; automated documentation and workflow solutions; digital tax compliance and e-invoicing technology; enterprise software and automation tools; AI-enabled professional services; and advanced engineering and aerospace technologies.

Recent client mandates have included a GCC-based AI governance platform, a US-founded AI solutions provider for the legal sector, a spacecraft engineering company, an engineering software developer, a RegTech provider specialising in e-invoicing and digital tax compliance, and an EdTech platform.

Sovereign PPG said the diversity of these businesses reflects an evolution in Saudi Arabia’s technology ecosystem, with the focus expanding beyond attracting technology companies to supporting businesses that use technology to address challenges across sectors aligned with Vision 2030 priorities.

“The next phase of Saudi Arabia’s innovation economy will be defined not simply by the number of AI companies, but by the number of businesses using AI to transform the way they operate. We are seeing engineering companies, consultants, education providers and professional services businesses integrating technology into their models. This creates new opportunities, but also raises important considerations around governance, licensing and the structures businesses need as they scale.”

James Elliot-Square, Commercial Director – KSA, Sovereign PPG Corporate Services

As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and advanced technologies, Sovereign PPG expects demand for incorporation, licensing, governance and operational structuring support to increase.

“Many traditional incorporation models were designed around clearly defined industries and conventional operating models. AI is creating businesses that are more fluid, where technology, data and services increasingly overlap. For founders and international businesses establishing operations in Saudi Arabia, choosing the right corporate structure is becoming a strategic decision rather than an administrative one. As AI-enabled business models evolve, businesses need structures that support innovation while providing the governance and compliance needed to scale confidently within one of the world’s fastest-growing innovation ecosystems.”
