The agreement was signed on August 30 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Zanzibar and will support the introduction of e-ticketing services through TTCL’s N-Card platform.

The Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL)  and the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF)  have signed a sponsorship and partnership agreement aimed at strengthening the use of technology and digital communications in the development of football in Zanzibar.

The agreement was signed on August 30 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Zanzibar and will support the introduction of e-ticketing services through TTCL’s N-Card platform.

The e-ticketing system is expected to simplify the purchase and verification of tickets at football stadiums while supporting the digital transformation of football in Zanzibar.

TTCL and ZFF said the partnership goes beyond sponsorship, describing it as an investment that connects telecommunications technology, sports and opportunities within the digital economy.

The collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for football fans, players, clubs and other sports stakeholders, while supporting the development of football through more effective use of digital communication technologies.

The partnership will also focus on improving the efficiency of football administration and strengthening ZFF’s digital systems.

Through the agreement, TTCL will leverage its expertise in telecommunications, infrastructure and digital innovation to support improved services and enhance the experience of football fans across Zanzibar.
