Kenya’s National Bank Joins Pan-African Partnership to Support SMEs
The partnership covers 14 African markets and will focus on strengthening SMEs’ access to finance, business and digital trade skills, sustainability capabilities and new markets.
National Bank of Kenya (NBK) has joined a new pan-African partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC) aimed at creating more opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses across Africa.
The partnership covers 14 African markets and will focus on strengthening SMEs’ access to finance, business and digital trade skills, sustainability capabilities and new markets.
The programme will begin with a pilot in Ghana before expanding into additional African markets. Kenya’s participation will form part of the broader initiative to help SMEs improve their competitiveness, connect across borders and participate more actively in intra-African trade.
The partnership brings together financial and business support across multiple markets as efforts continue to strengthen African SMEs and expand their participation in regional and cross-border trade.
