Egypt’s NTRA Trains 37 Participants From 15 Countries on Telecom Equipment Approval
The initiative supports the development of skills needed to address challenges in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector and advance digital transformation.
Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has held its seventh online training course on telecommunications equipment type approval, bringing together 37 participants from 15 countries for two days of technical training.
The course took place on October 20 and 21 through the Egyptian African Telecom Regulatory Training Center (EG-ATRC). It focused on Egypt’s type approval procedures, alongside key technical standards and testing requirements related to radio spectrum.
The training forms part of NTRA’s efforts to share technical expertise and strengthen regulatory capacity across regional and international telecommunications markets. The initiative supports the development of skills needed to address challenges in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector and advance digital transformation.
EG-ATRC is a certified training provider under the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Academy. The center provides capacity-building programmes for telecommunications regulators across Africa, helping authorities develop the technical knowledge required to oversee the sector and support the growth of digital economies.
