December 16, 2022

Several sources have reported that MTN Group has been mulling over the idea of divesting some of their small operations in West Africa in an effort to focus on their core markets.

People close to the matter have disclosed that MTN is reviewing the entirety of their portfolio to identify these operations. Reportedly, its operations in Nigeria and Ghana are not going to be a part of the review.

The discussions however are in very early stages and there is no certainty as to whether there are going to be any divestments at all.
