As the demand for artificial intelligence (AI) rises in Africa, technology firm 4Sight Holdings is eyeing expansion into the region to tap into the booming market.
According to 4Sight, its client base already shows significant interest in AI, and the company is providing solutions that leverage the technology to enhance productivity.
Research indicates that South African IT leaders expect generative AI to have a more significant impact on their organizations than other emerging technologies. A Salesforce report highlights the transformative potential of generative AI in the local IT sector, with 83% of South African IT leaders stating that AI’s role in their organizations is well-defined. This number is projected to rise, as 87% believe that generative AI will soon play a prominent role in their operations.
Tertius Zitzke, CEO of 4Sight, emphasizes that AI adoption is just beginning and that the technology should serve as an agent for delivering business solutions. Already, companies have witnessed significant productivity gains, saving at least one and a half hours per day, leading to compelling business cases.
Zitzke underscores the importance of laying the groundwork for AI integration to stay ahead of the curve. He predicts that role-based AI will be the next big breakthrough, where the technology will truly complement human capabilities, further revolutionizing various industries.
