Tunisia has made significant strides in communication technologies, essential for its economic and social growth. The government’s investment in enhancing both fixed and mobile networks aligns with the National Digital Strategy 2025, supporting sectors like industry, education, tourism, and agriculture.

Etisalat Tunisia, a key player in this evolution, has significantly contributed to national projects. Notably, the White Area Coverage Project expanded connectivity to schools and health centers, benefiting around 180,000 residents. The EDUNET 10 project upgraded fiber optic networks in 3,300 educational institutions, while the Integrated Administrative Network now links over 1,500 public institutions to improve service delivery.

The company has also transitioned to IPv6, enhancing navigation speed and supporting IoT applications. Furthermore, the deployment of 5G services promises nationwide high-speed coverage, catering to high-density areas and new applications.

Financially, Etisalat Tunisia has demonstrated robust growth, with a transaction figure of KD 1,323 million in 2023, a 3% increase from the previous year, and a net positive result of KD 63 million, marking a 26% growth. Its market presence is notable, holding a 38.3% share of telecommunications revenue, 75% in the fixed telephone market, and 31% in mobile services.

These advancements highlight Etisalat Tunisia’s role in driving digital transformation and shaping the future of telecommunications in Tunisia.
