Vodacom Tanzania and Huawei Launch DigiTruck to Bridge Digital Divide

Vodacom Tanzania, in partnership with Huawei, has launched the DigiTruck, a mobile classroom designed to bridge the digital divide. The launch event, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko and Minister of ICT Hon. Jerry Silaa, showcased this initiative aimed at delivering essential digital education and skills. Ambassador Chen Mingjian, representing the People’s Republic of China, and Vodacom Tanzania’s Chairman Rtd. Justice Thomas Mihayo were also present.

The DigiTruck will provide digital skills training to over 5,500 students, women, the elderly, and youth annually across 10 regions in Tanzania. This partnership between Vodacom Tanzania and Huawei aims to equip Tanzanians, regardless of their age or location, with the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy, ensuring that access to technology becomes a reality for all.
