NADF and NITDA partner to harness Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, boosting Nigeria’s agricultural productivity, food security, and economic growth.

The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) and National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Technology in Agriculture Project (FIRTA). This partnership, driven by President Tinubu’s vision, aims to harness the power of 4IR technologies to supercharge agricultural productivity and sustainability.

According to Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, the Director-General of NITDA, this collaboration will identify, demonstrate, and mainstream market-ready innovations to transform the sector. The ES/CEO of NADF emphasized the critical link between agriculture and technology, stressing that evidence-based approaches are vital for meaningful progress.

Some key Objectives of the Partnership include: enhancing agricultural productivity, improving food security, driving economic growth and stimulating economic development through agricultural innovation and job creation.

This partnership aligns with NADF’s mission to elevate Nigeria’s agricultural standards and secure its food future.
