Safaricom Ethiopia launches in Metu, boosting connectivity, creating jobs, and supporting education through technology donations.

Safaricom Ethiopia has officially launched its network in Metu, marking another milestone in its Western Ethiopia expansion. This connectivity will connect communities from Gambella to Metu, reinforcing the region’s economic growth and improving lives.

The launch also brings three new service shops to Metu, ensuring convenient access to Safaricom’s offerings. Moreover, 100 job opportunities have been created for local youth, boosting employment in the area.

In a show of community engagement, Safaricom Ethiopia donated 10 laptops, 2 routers, and six months of free internet to a high school in Metu, empowering students with digital learning and growth tools.
