Streaming on the Rise: Perception TVCDN’s Answer to the Future of Content Delivery

Before MWC Barcelona, we spoke with John Mills from Perception TVCDN to discuss how their platform is revolutionizing content delivery. We explored how their approach reduces costs, enhances performance, and introduces new revenue models for telcos, content creators, and enterprises. Read on to discover how they’re redefining digital entertainment.
Can you give us an overview of Perception TV, Rapido, and how this partnership came about?
Perception TVCDN has long been at the forefront of streaming innovation, offering a unified, next-generation TV delivery platform that integrates CDN technology with IPTV-grade functionality. Over the years, we’ve seen a gap in the market for a platform that could go beyond streaming and integrate interactive and transactional capabilities.
Rapido was conceived as a response to this need—a superapp that will merge OTT TV, e-gaming, e-commerce, and generative AI into a single ecosystem. With Perception’s expertise in content distribution and Rapido’s vision for an all-in-one digital entertainment hub, it’s the platform that not only delivers content but will also enable new revenue models for telcos, content creators, and enterprises.
How does Perception TVCDN’s private CDN integration reduce costs and enhance streaming performance?
Traditional CDNs were not built with TV-grade functionality in mind—they were designed for static content delivery, which leads to inefficiencies in live and on-demand streaming. Perception TVCDN is different. We integrate advanced IPTV capabilities directly into our own CDN layer, eliminating the need for third-party middleware and significantly reducing service delivery costs.
Our private CDN solutions optimize bandwidth, reducing dependence on external networks. For Telcos who own their own network, Perception also provides the ideal solution delivering high-quality end to end streaming inside the telcos network, eradicating third party transit costs and ensuring the best edge streaming to end user devices. Additionally, our intelligent content caching ensures that high-traffic regions experience ultra-low latency, resulting in a smoother viewing experience.
What security and app features set Perception TVCDN apart from traditional CDNs?
Security is a fundamental challenge in today’s streaming landscape, especially with piracy and content leakage becoming major concerns. Unlike generic CDNs, Perception TVCDN is built with end-to-end security at its core. Our architecture includes secure multicasting, DRM integration, and tokenized authentication, ensuring content is protected at every stage.
From an application standpoint, Perception TVCDN provides fully integrated white-label apps across all major platforms—mobile, smart TVs, and set-top boxes—allowing operators and content owners to deploy a branded service without the technical overhead of custom development.
What makes Rapido a unique player in the OTT, e-gaming, and e-commerce space?
Rapido is going to be more than just an OTT platform; it will be a full-service digital marketplace. The integration of live and on-demand TV with gaming, social engagement, and e-commerce within a single environment will create a seamless experience for users. Unlike traditional streaming platforms, where content consumption is passive, Rapido is designed for interactivity and engagement.
Additionally, its revenue-sharing model ensures that telcos, ISP’s, content owners, and even individual creators can monetize their content in ways that go beyond advertising—whether through in-app purchases or e-commerce integrations.

How is Rapido optimized for mobile-first and low-bandwidth environments?
The future of content consumption is mobile-first, particularly in emerging markets where broadband infrastructure is still developing. Rapido has been engineered with this in mind, using adaptive streaming and efficient compression technologies to deliver high-quality video at multiple bitrates enabling a high-quality image whatever the local streaming capabilities.
Perception TVCDN’s edge caching strategies reduce reliance on centralized servers. This means that even in regions with limited connectivity, users can enjoy a smooth viewing experience without buffering issues.
How do your PaaS and SaaS models benefit telcos, MVNOs, and content owners?
Flexibility is key in today’s market. Many telcos and MVNOs are looking for ways to offer value-added services without building infrastructure from scratch. Our PaaS model allows them to integrate a fully managed TV service into their ecosystem, whether as a white-labelled offering or a bundled add-on for their customers.
For content owners, our SaaS model removes the complexities of content distribution, allowing them to focus on production while we handle streaming, monetization, and audience engagement. The unified nature of our platform means that all elements—CDN, billing, subscriber management—are included in a single framework, reducing operational overhead.
How does Rapido’s revenue-sharing and future token system support content creators?
We believe the current monetization models for content creators are outdated. Rapido will change that through a tokenized rewards system that allows creators to earn revenue from views, ads and also from in-platform commerce and engagement.
To facilitate this Rapido is developing an in-platform digital currency, that will be earned through content interactions, purchases, and brand partnerships. These tokens will be redeemed within the Rapido ecosystem for digital goods, services, and even real-world transactions. This system will ensure creators receive fair compensation while also fostering a highly engaged user base.

With YouTube TV, Netflix, Tubi and other established platforms leading the pack, is there still room for a new player like Rapido in the market?
Those leading players success is undeniable, admirable and set the bar very high, but the digital entertainment space is continuously evolving. There’s a growing demand for platforms that offer more control to content creators, better revenue models, and next generation commerce capabilities, something that is not there yet, or at least not in one place. Besides, there is a growing demand for streaming services. It’s a global industry that is rapidly expanding, particularly FAST offerings.
Rapido’s unique approach will combine social engagement, OTT streaming and e-commerce in a way that existing solutions don’t. Additionally, its B2B2C model will allow telcos, hotel chains, and enterprises to integrate Rapido seamlessly into their own service offerings, providing them with a risk-free way to enter the streaming business.
We are offering an alternative ecosystem where creators, brands and enterprises can benefit from a more interactive and financially sustainable model.
What’s your long-term vision and expansion strategy for the market?
Our long-term vision is to redefine digital entertainment as a fully integrated experience—where streaming, commerce, gaming, and engagement coexist within a single, seamless platform.
On the technology side, we will continue to enhance Perception TVCDN’s capabilities, ensuring that our private CDN and unified media cloud remain the most cost-efficient and scalable solutions in the market.
For Rapido, expansion is centred around strategic partnerships. Our goal is to embed Rapido into the offerings of leading telcos, hospitality brands, and retail networks, ensuring global reach without the need for traditional customer acquisition strategies.
We see immense potential in emerging markets where digital services are rapidly evolving. By providing a mobile-optimized, data-efficient, and monetization-friendly platform, we aim to be a major player in the next wave of digital transformation.
