At GITEX AFRICA, IFC and Proparco signed a landmark MoU to invest $40 million in EmergingTech Ventures Fund II — their first venture deal under Morocco’s new legal framework.
Targeting early-stage startups across Morocco, Tunisia and Francophone West Africa, the fund will back high-impact sectors like DeepTech, FinTech, HealthTech and CleanTech — reinforcing GITEX AFRICA’s position as the continent’s top platform for tech-driven investment and growth.
The deal reinforces GITEX AFRICA’s growing influence as a leading platform for technology investment and cross-border collaboration, bringing together global capital and African innovation under one roof.
