In a major push to modernize vocational education and bridge the digital skills gap, Algeria has unveiled 40 new training programs in key digital domains ahead of the next vocational training session.
The newly announced programs span high-demand areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data and artificial intelligence, digital marketing, and more. They were developed collaboratively by a team of 70 educators and pedagogical experts, working closely with the Algerian Digital Actors Group (GAAN) and a network of leading national and international technology companies.
As part of the launch, government representatives visited the Digital Excellence Center in Rahmania, where they engaged with trainees and viewed a showcase of digital projects developed by the students. These projects highlighted not only the technical quality of the training but also the growing innovation potential among Algeria’s youth.
This initiative is seen as a strategic milestone in Algeria’s vocational training reform efforts, aiming to align educational outcomes with the evolving needs of the labor market. It also reflects the country’s broader commitment to digital transformation, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in the global digital economy.
