Pesalink has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Fintech Alliance , marking a significant step towards enhancing Kenya’s digital payment ecosystem. This partnership aims to accelerate access to fast, interoperable, and inclusive digital payments throughout the country.
The collaboration unites key fintech stakeholders and existing banking infrastructure with a shared goal of streamlining payment experiences. The agreement outlines a focus on four strategic areas: simplifying integrations, aligning on fraud and security standards, launching co-innovation and awareness initiatives, and enabling a faster rollout of new account-to-account (A2A) payment services via Pesalink.
Gituku Kirika, CEO of IPSL (Integrated Payment Services Ltd., which operates Pesalink), commented on the importance of this partnership, stating:
