RURA Flags Ongoing Service Disruptions at MTN Rwanda, Operator Vows Resolution

The Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA)  has publicly noted “persistent and recurring issues in MTN’s service delivery.” These disruptions have affected several services, including voice, SMS, USSD, and interconnect traffic between different service providers.

In response to the situation, MTN Rwanda acknowledged the problems, informing its customers that it was “currently experiencing intermittent service disruptions affecting voice and USSD services across the country.” The company’s technical team is reportedly working to restore full service and has apologized for any inconvenience caused, thanking customers for their patience.
