This initiative is a component of MTN's broader Digital Human Rights programme, which focuses on building a secure and inclusive online environment.

In an effort to enhance child online safety, MTN Cameroon  held a live session on August 22, 2025, as part of its “Help Children Be Children” campaign. The event brought together experts and MTN staff to address the growing risks children face in the digital world. This initiative is a component of MTN’s broader Digital Human Rights programme, which focuses on building a secure and inclusive online environment.

During the session, speakers from organizations like SAFE and LICSTA, alongside MTN Cameroon specialists, shared insights on critical topics, including cyber threats, digital literacy, and the importance of responsible connectivity. The discussion also included the screening of two episodes from the “Room of Safety” series, titled “The Impact of Toxic Content” and “Your Privacy Matters.” This prompted meaningful conversations among attendees about practical strategies to protect the digital well-being of the next generation.

The event highlights MTN Cameroon’s commitment to creating a safer and more positive digital space, reinforcing the company’s role beyond being a service provider to being a protector of its youngest users.
