Minister Maziya Unveils New Leadership for Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation
The newly appointed Board, whose term begins on 1 September 2025, will serve for three years and is tasked with guiding the transformation, innovation, and sustainability of EPTC as the organization adapts to a rapidly evolving communications and postal sector.
The Honourable Minister of Information, Communications and Technology, H.E. Savannah Maziya, has officially announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC). The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Mbabane.
The newly appointed Board, whose term begins on 1 September 2025, will serve for three years and is tasked with guiding the transformation, innovation, and sustainability of EPTC as the organization adapts to a rapidly evolving communications and postal sector.
The new Board comprises: Mr. Kwanele Magagula, Attorney at Magagula Attorneys, as Chairperson; Ms. Lindiwe Dlamini, former Director of Strategy at ESCCOM; Ms. Mbali Sibanyoni, Managing Director of Swaziland Building Society; Mr. Sibusiso Mndzebele, Investigations and Fraud Risk Manager at Standard Bank Eswatini; Mr. Sipho Dlamini, Procurement Specialist; Mr. Sakhile Dlamini, representing the Ministry of ICT; Mr. Zungu, retained from the previous Board; and Ms. Thulisile Gamedze, representing the Ministry of Finance.
Minister Maziya underscored the need for strong leadership and innovative thinking to reposition EPTC for success. “The old model of a Post Office built around letters is no longer viable. We need new ideas, strong partnerships, and practical projects that will allow EPTC to grow, innovate, and remain sustainable,” she stated.
She urged the Board to carry out its duties with integrity, innovation, and urgency, emphasizing that EPTC should be a credible, self-sufficient, and cost-effective institution that contributes to national development while being a proud employer. The Minister also highlighted the importance of teamwork, accountability, and ethics-led leadership, describing the Board’s role as a “national calling” rather than a pursuit of board fees.
Concluding her remarks, Minister Maziya thanked the new members for accepting the responsibility to serve, expressing confidence that their combined expertise would guide EPTC through its transformation journey.
