At a media briefing, Hon. George clarified that the ongoing interventions, which include migrating AT subscribers onto Telecel’s network and appointing a transaction advisor, are emergency measures designed to ensure uninterrupted service for more than three million customers.

KPMG , appointed as the transaction advisor, has 60 days to evaluate AT’s debt situation, explore future options for the company, and propose ways to strengthen competition in Ghana’s telecom sector.

He urged all stakeholders, including subscribers, creditors, and tower companies, to remain calm and await the advisor’s final report before drawing conclusions about AT’s future.
