Through this partnership, both operators will work together on the mutualisation of telecom infrastructure.

Airtel Gabon  and Moov Africa-Gabon TĂ©lĂ©com  have signed a historic protocol agreement to share digital infrastructure, a move expected to significantly improve connectivity and accelerate digital transformation in the country.

The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Cabinet of the Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation. The Ministry highlighted that the agreement is the result of an initiative it launched with the support of the State and the commitment of private sector partners.

Through this partnership, both operators will work together on the mutualisation of telecom infrastructure. The agreement is also designed to reduce service costs, optimise investments, and improve the overall coverage and quality of digital services available to the population.

Minister Mark Alexandre Doumba welcomed the initiative, praising the leadership of Airtel Gabon and Moov Africa-Gabon Télécom for their commitment and sense of partnership. He also acknowledged the dedication of the Ministry’s staff, who played a central role in ensuring the agreement’s success.

According to the Ministry, the deal reflects the vision of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, who has set out to build an inclusive and competitive digital economy for Gabon.
