SES Unveils New Brand Following Merger with Intelsat, Marking Bold Step in Satellite Industry

With its refreshed identity, SES positions itself not just as a satellite operator, but as a comprehensive space solutions partner, ready to support global digital transformation and connectivity demands.

The newly merged SES , now one of the world’s largest satellite operators following its merger with Intelsat, has unveiled a completely new brand identity—a rare move in the satellite sector.

At the heart of this transformation is SES’s new purpose statement, “Space to Make a Difference”, underscoring its mission to drive meaningful change through space technology. The corporate tagline, “Solve. Empower. Soar.”, further reflects the company’s ambition to deliver operational excellence and market leadership.

“Through customer surveys conducted leading up to the merger, it came out clear that they need more than satellite connectivity. They need a space solutions partner with the scale to reach the world and the ambition to redefine what’s possible—delivering on promises that move the space industry forward.”

– Adel Al-Saleh, CEO, SES

The merger combines nearly 90 geostationary (GEO) and 30 medium Earth orbit (MEO) satellites, with strategic access to low Earth orbit (LEO) systems. SES now also operates the largest fiber network among satellite providers, with global reach through 150 owned and partner teleports and 50 points of presence (PoPs). This enhanced scale, backed by a stronger financial profile, will allow SES to invest annually in emerging segments and new technologies.

Drawing inspiration from the Northern Lights, SES has adopted purple as its primary brand color, symbolizing experience, unity, and innovation. Its new visual identity features lowercase italicized lettering and a circular icon, “The Orb”, comprising three interlocking circles that represent SES’s unique multi-orbit positioning, seamlessly integrated with its ground infrastructure.

“Space technology changes lives every day, but our industry makes it seem intimidating and complex. Our new identity is a bold promise to transform space into a seamless, accessible part of the global ecosystem—where complexity is simplified, integration is straightforward, and our customers can grow and thrive.”

– Adel Al-Saleh, CEO, SES

With its refreshed identity, SES positions itself not just as a satellite operator, but as a comprehensive space solutions partner, ready to support global digital transformation and connectivity demands.
