The initiative is designed to simplify banking and make it more convenient by expanding reach and reducing service barriers. Importantly, customers’ existing accounts, cards, cheque books, and digital platforms remain valid, while deposits remain fully secure.

Access Bank Kenya PLC  and National Bank of Kenya (NBK)  have taken a major step forward in their ongoing integration by rolling out shared in-branch services. Customers from either bank can now walk into any of the more than 100 combined branches across the country and carry out core transactions seamlessly. These include viewing account details, making deposits or withdrawals, and transferring funds.

The initiative is designed to simplify banking and make it more convenient by expanding reach and reducing service barriers. Importantly, customers’ existing accounts, cards, cheque books, and digital platforms remain valid, while deposits remain fully secure.

As integration progresses, customers will enjoy a wider range of benefits that combine NBK’s established public sector and retail strengths with Access Bank’s international reach and digital innovation. Retail and SME clients will gain access to a broader branch network and improved digital services. Corporate and multinational clients will benefit from enhanced trade finance and treasury solutions through Access Bank’s global hubs in markets such as the UK, Dubai, China, and India. Public sector clients will continue to rely on NBK’s expertise, now boosted by digitized services for collections, disbursements, and inclusion programs.

This collaboration reflects a joint commitment to strengthening Kenya’s financial ecosystem. By uniting their networks, Access Bank Kenya and NBK aim to deliver a more convenient, accessible, and future-ready banking experience for individuals, businesses, and communities nationwide.
