Tanzania’s agri-tech startup MazaoHub  has raised $2 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, marking a significant milestone in its mission to transform African agriculture through technology.

The round attracted a diverse group of investors, including Catalyst Fund, Mercy Corps Ventures, and Nordic Impact Fund, underscoring the growing global appetite for innovations that combine technology, sustainability, and impact at scale.

MazaoHub’s platform leverages AI-powered, climate-smart farming solutions, offering services that range from soil intelligence to direct market access. By equipping farmers with actionable data and improved market linkages, the startup aims to boost productivity, enhance resilience to climate change, and open new economic opportunities for smallholder farmers.
