Through the partnership, Axiz will deliver Equinix’s suite of data centre and interconnection solutions to partners and enterprises in South Africa and beyond.

Nasdaq-listed Equinix  has signed a distribution agreement with Axiz , one of Africa’s leading technology distributors, in a move aimed at expanding access to advanced digital infrastructure services on the continent.

Through the partnership, Axiz will deliver Equinix’s suite of data centre and interconnection solutions to partners and enterprises in South Africa and beyond. This includes access to the Johannesburg IBX data centre (JN1), the Equinix Fabric® software-defined interconnection platform, and the global Equinix ecosystem of networks, cloud providers, and enterprises.

For Axiz, the deal reinforces its strategy of enabling the channel with next-generation technologies.

“By partnering with Equinix, Axiz can now offer partners a straightforward route to reliable colocation and interconnection services, backed by global standards of performance and security.”

Craig Brunsden, CEO, Axiz

Cloud adoption in South Africa is gathering pace, creating stronger demand for data centres that can support workloads while ensuring secure connectivity to global platforms. Equinix said that Axiz’s established distribution reach will accelerate its ability to serve that demand.

“Working with Axiz gives us the ability to reach businesses across Africa through an established channel network. Resellers and their customers will now have easier access to secure, sustainable, and interconnected infrastructure, supported by both Equinix and Axiz’s expertise.”

– Sandile Dube, Managing Director, Equinix South Africa

The companies also highlighted how the alliance will simplify routes to market for resellers.

“This collaboration makes it simpler for resellers to procure, build solutions and close deals quickly, while giving their customers access to the global digital platforms they need.”

– Carissa Singh, Partner Sales Leader, South Africa, Equinix

By combining Axiz’s local market presence with Equinix’s global infrastructure, the partnership is set to unlock new opportunities for African businesses seeking scalable, secure, and globally connected solutions.
