The event focused on equipping young innovators with advanced skills in artificial intelligence (AI), business analytics, and financial technology.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) , in collaboration with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) , successfully organized the AI in FinTech Hackathon as part of their joint efforts to enhance the capabilities of students in the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI). The event focused on equipping young innovators with advanced skills in artificial intelligence (AI), business analytics, and financial technology.

Held under the umbrella of FinTech Egypt, a CBE initiative, and in partnership with SAIB Bank, the hackathon served as a practical platform for students to collaborate with industry experts and develop AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges within the banking and financial sectors.

Participants applied data science and analytics to design innovative models addressing current industry needs. The event culminated in a graduation and award ceremony, where top-performing teams presented their projects before a panel of experts. Winning teams received cash prizes from SAIB Bank and opportunities to further develop their solutions with participating financial institutions. Additionally, outstanding students were offered employment opportunities to apply their skills in professional FinTech environments.

The initiative reflects MCIT’s commitment to empowering youth through technology education and nurturing a generation capable of driving Egypt’s digital transformation. By integrating AI and FinTech into academic and practical training, the hackathon strengthens Egypt’s position as a growing hub for innovation and sustainable digital economy development in the region.
