Ethio Telecom Signs Landmark MoU with FEWA to Accelerate Africa’s Digital Education Future

The newly signed MoU between Ethio telecom and FEWA outlines plans for collaborative efforts to expand smart education initiatives in Rwanda and across the continent.

Ethio telecom  has strengthened its commitment to advancing digital education across Africa by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Future of Education & Work in Africa (FEWA ). The agreement was formalized during the MWC Kigali 2025 event, where the company hosted Hon. Joseph Nsengimana, Rwanda’s Minister of Education.

During the visit, the Ethio telecom leadership showcased its innovative smart education solution, a digital platform designed to enhance teaching and learning through technology. The presentation drew strong interest from Minister Nsengimana, who praised the initiative and emphasized the need for African nations to adopt such digital frameworks to accelerate educational transformation.

The newly signed MoU between Ethio telecom and FEWA outlines plans for collaborative efforts to expand smart education initiatives in Rwanda and across the continent. Both organizations aim to integrate technology-driven solutions that foster inclusivity, innovation, and digital literacy in African education systems.

Ethio telecom said the partnership aligns with its long-term strategy, “Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028,” which focuses on driving digital transformation, building regional partnerships, and supporting Africa’s transition toward an AI-ready future.

“This collaboration marks a concrete step toward realizing our vision of a connected and intelligent Africa,” Ethio telecom stated, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to support sustainable development through technology.
