ZTE and MTN Uganda Celebrate 10 Years of Partnership in Telecom Innovation

ZTE Corporation and MTN Uganda have marked a remarkable milestone — the 10th anniversary of their Managed Services partnership, celebrating a decade of collaboration that has transformed Uganda’s telecommunications landscape. The celebration took place in Kampala, bringing together senior leaders and executives from both organizations. Among the attendees were MTN Uganda’s Thomas Motlepa (CTIO), Sylvia ElSheikh (CMO), Franklin Kano Ocharo (GM of New Business), and Philip Wamimbi (Senior Manager – Network Operations), alongside ZTE Uganda’s CEO Wang Lou and DCEO Yuan Yuzhan, whose leadership has been instrumental in sustaining the partnership’s success.
Over the last ten years, the partnership between ZTE and MTN Uganda has played a critical role in building one of the most advanced, reliable, and future-ready telecom networks in the region. Together, the two companies have expanded nationwide network reach, strengthened performance, and delivered exceptional user experiences. MTN Uganda has consistently ranked No. 1 in Net Promoter Scores (NPS) within the MTN Group, setting new benchmarks for service quality and customer satisfaction across Africa.
