Maroc Telecom Crosses 81 million Customer Mark, Driving Growth Across Africa

November 3, 2025
2 min read

This performance reaffirms Maroc Telecom’s strategy of innovation and long-term investment aimed at supporting Africa’s digital transformation and maintaining leadership in both domestic and international markets.

Maroc Telecom Group  has achieved a new milestone, exceeding 81 million customers by the end of the third quarter of 2025, reflecting a 1.8% year-on-year increase driven by sustained growth across its Moov Africa subsidiaries, which grew 3.3% during the same period.

The Group’s strong customer expansion underscores its position as a leading telecommunications operator across Africa, with operations spanning 11 countries. The rise was supported by continued momentum of its international subsidiaries in mobile, fixed broadband, and mobile money services, alongside steady progress in Morocco’s fiber and 5G rollout preparations.

In its Q3 2025 financial results, Maroc Telecom reported revenues of MAD 27.3 billion, up 1.2% year-on-year, with subsidiaries contributing significantly to growth. The Group’s EBITDA reached MAD 13.7 billion, maintaining a robust 50.2% margin, while investments surged 36% to support the upcoming 5G launch in Morocco.

Maroc Telecom continues to modernize its networks through strategic partnerships and infrastructure expansion, notably with Inwi on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and 5G ventures. Internationally, its Moov Africa subsidiaries have strengthened their contribution through the growth of mobile data (+15.1%), mobile money (+23.2%), and fixed broadband (+19.2%) services.

This performance reaffirms Maroc Telecom’s strategy of innovation and long-term investment aimed at supporting Africa’s digital transformation and maintaining leadership in both domestic and international markets.
