The initiative aims to enable the Cabinet Affairs Office (CAO), which coordinates FEC activities, to operate entirely paperless, enhancing efficiency in documentation and archival management.

The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF)  has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)  to fully digitalise the processes of the Federal Executive Council (FEC). The initiative aims to enable the Cabinet Affairs Office (CAO), which coordinates FEC activities, to operate entirely paperless, enhancing efficiency in documentation and archival management.

The digitalisation project builds on prior efforts, including real-time transcription of council proceedings achieved in December 2024, and seeks to fully integrate all processes by December 2025. NASENI, having successfully transitioned to a fully digitalised system, will support OSGF in replicating the transformation. This collaboration highlights the Federal Government’s commitment to modernising operations, fostering innovation, and promoting a more efficient digital working environment across its institutions.
