The fellowship covers full tuition, accommodation, academic materials, and a stipend for essential course needs, providing comprehensive support to help students focus on their studies and excel in their fields.

Airtel Uganda  has launched the Airtel Africa Foundation Tech Fellowship, a new initiative aimed at supporting exceptionally talented undergraduate students pursuing STEM and technology degrees. The fellowship covers full tuition, accommodation, academic materials, and a stipend for essential course needs, providing comprehensive support to help students focus on their studies and excel in their fields.

The program was announced by Airtel Uganda Managing Director Soumendra Sahu, with Patrick Mbonye, CEO of Q-Sourcing Servtec Uganda, confirming his company’s role as the partner responsible for managing the application and selection process. The fellowship seeks to identify and support deserving students whose academic potential could transform their futures, particularly those facing financial or social challenges.

By offering this level of support, the Airtel Africa Foundation Tech Fellowship aims to empower young Ugandans to pursue careers in technology, bridging gaps in access to higher education and nurturing the next generation of innovators and tech leaders in the country.
