Moringa School Partners Nomad Futurist and iXAfrica to Build Africa’s Digital Infrastructure Talent
Through this collaboration, Nomad Futurist brings its global digital infrastructure education platform and industry perspective to the program, working alongside Moringa School to deliver a short, structured online course.
Moringa School, Kenya’s leading tech-education institution, has announced a strategic partnership with the Nomad Futurist Foundation and iXAfrica Data Centres to equip emerging professionals with the skills and hands-on exposure required to thrive in Africa’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure sector.
Through this collaboration, Nomad Futurist brings its global digital infrastructure education platform and industry perspective to the program, working alongside Moringa School to deliver a short, structured online course. The program introduces participants to the fundamentals of data centre operations, including infrastructure, sustainability, mechanical and electrical systems, cloud ecosystems, AI-ready design, and the critical role data centres play in Africa’s digital economy. Upon completion, qualified participants will access internship opportunities at iXAfrica’s NBOX1 campus, East Africa’s first hyperscale, carrier-neutral, AI-ready data centre.
This initiative directly responds to the continent’s rising demand for skilled local talent as cloud adoption, AI workloads, fintech expansion, and digital public infrastructure continue to accelerate. The partnership provides a pathway for young professionals to gain both global-standard training and real-world experience in one of Africa’s most advanced digital facilities.
“This partnership marks an important step toward building a strong and future-ready talent pipeline for Africa. By combining structured learning with practical exposure, we’re opening new doors for tech professionals across the region.”
– Nikki Germany, CEO, Moringa School
“Nomad Futurist exists to shine a light on careers in digital infrastructure that are often unseen but essential. This partnership is about giving emerging talent in Kenya early exposure to how data centres actually work, why they matter, and how these careers connect directly to Africa’s digital and economic growth.”
– Nabeel Mahmood, CEO, Nomad Futurist
Home to East Africa’s most advanced carrier-neutral and AI-ready data centre campus, iXAfrica will host selected program graduates for immersive internships designed to expose them to real operational environments, from high-density cooling and power systems to cloud interconnects and sustainability operations.
“Sustainable digital growth depends on people skilled, empowered, and future-ready talent. By bringing the selected graduates into Kenya’s first hyperscale, AI-ready campus, we are ensuring they gain hands-on experience with the infrastructure powering cloud, AI, and the region’s digital economy. This partnership turns potential into capability and prepares young professionals to shape Africa’s data-driven future.”
– Snehar Shah, CEO, iXAfrica and Ambassador, Nomad Futurist Foundation
