Remitano Passes CryptoCurrency Security Standard Audit, Validates Platform Safety

January 23, 2026
2 min read

This achievement highlights Remitano’s ongoing dedication to providing a secure and reliable environment for buying and selling cryptocurrencies, particularly as adoption grows in emerging markets.

Remitano  has announced a major milestone in its commitment to security and trust: the platform has successfully completed the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) Level 1 Full System audit under CCSS version 9.0. This achievement highlights Remitano’s ongoing dedication to providing a secure and reliable environment for buying and selling cryptocurrencies, particularly as adoption grows in emerging markets.

The CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) is an internationally recognised framework specifically designed for systems handling cryptocurrencies. Unlike general IT security standards, CCSS focuses on crypto-specific risks such as key management, access controls, and operational safeguards. For Remitano, achieving CCSS certification is not a shift in strategy but an independent validation of the robust security practices already embedded in its platform. The Level 1 Full System audit reviewed the entire operating environment, including asset protection mechanisms, internal governance, access controls, and continuous risk monitoring.

The certification process, conducted by Hacken, confirmed that Remitano meets internationally recognised baseline security requirements for crypto platforms. The audit evaluated critical aspects of the platform, including the management and protection of cryptographic keys, internal access and permission controls, system operations and monitoring, and mitigation of risks related to unauthorised access and asset loss. By aligning with CCSS 9.0, Remitano ensures its security standards remain current with the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

Remitano emphasises that security is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time achievement. The platform continues to invest in security architecture, conduct regular third-party audits, and carry out continuous system reviews and improvements. The successful audit also enables Remitano to be officially listed on the CCSS completed audits registry, allowing users, partners, and stakeholders to independently verify the certification.

Moving forward, Remitano aims to strengthen its role as a trusted bridge between fiat and cryptocurrency by providing a secure platform for digital asset transactions. The CCSS Level 1 certification represents another step in reinforcing security, transparency, and best practices, ensuring that the platform remains reliable for its growing community of users.
