Careem Pay Makes International Money Transfers Faster and Easier for UAE Residents

Careem Pay,  the digital payments platform within the Careem app, has announced major expansions to its remittance services, making it easier for UAE residents to send money abroad. The updates include mobile wallet transfers to Egypt, cash pickup in Lebanon, and enhanced wallet and cash pickup options for the Philippines.

The platform now enables transfers to over 35 countries, covering key remittance corridors such as India, Pakistan, Egypt, the Philippines, Canada, Europe, and the UK. Transfers are fast, secure, and in some cases completed within seconds. Careem Plus members also enjoy exclusive rates.

Key features of the expansion include:

• Egypt: Send up to AED 8,000 per transaction to all major mobile wallets—including Vodafone Cash, Orange Money, etisalat by e&, We Pay, and Meeza Network wallets—with money arriving within 30 minutes.
• Lebanon: Transfer up to AED 8,000 for cash pickup in USD at over 1,000 locations, supported through Careem Pay’s partnership with Whish Money.
• Philippines: Send up to AED 6,000 to wallets and AED 8,000 for cash pickup at 14,750 nationwide locations, with faster transfers via direct GCash integration.
