Airtel Money Kenya,  through the Airtel Africa Foundation  and in partnership with ChildFund Kenya, has launched a KES 37 million education, water and sanitation infrastructure project in Marigat, Baringo County.

The project, implemented under the Building Brighter Futures initiative, will benefit 1,500 learners at Marigat Integrated Day and Boarding Primary School and Marigat Special School for the Visually Impaired.

The investment will support the construction of new classrooms, improved sanitation facilities, a fully equipped ICT laboratory, library renovations, a boys’ dormitory, water infrastructure and a 30-point handwashing station.

The infrastructure is intended to provide safer and more inclusive learning environments while improving learners’ access to digital resources, clean water and sanitation facilities.

The Marigat project forms part of a broader partnership between Airtel Money Kenya, through the Airtel Africa Foundation, and ChildFund, which is expected to benefit more than 2,000 learners across public schools in Baringo, Wajir and Garissa counties.

The groundbreaking marks the start of the infrastructure initiative, which aims to improve learning conditions and expand educational opportunities for children in underserved communities.
