The company said the expansion is aimed at increasing hosting capacity for businesses and critical workloads while supporting the development of sovereign cloud services and AI applications.

STELLARIX Senegal  is expanding its data centre capacity to support the growing demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure in Senegal and across Africa.

The company said the expansion is aimed at increasing hosting capacity for businesses and critical workloads while supporting the development of sovereign cloud services and AI applications.

STELLARIX said the investment will also contribute to greater infrastructure resilience and digital sovereignty as Senegal’s digital economy continues to develop.

The expansion was carried out with contributions from Snef, SERTEM Groupe and Kent Data Centres. STELLARIX is part of the AXIAN Group, alongside AXIAN Telecom.

The company said the additional capacity will help it respond to the increasing need for reliable and sovereign data infrastructure while supporting digital growth and AI adoption in Senegal and the wider African market.
